Call Forwarding Options

You have 5 options in Ringy for where you want inbound calls to forward to. You can select your preferred option in the top right corner on your account to the left of the Welcome button.

1. Accepting Calls in Ringy. This allows you to answer calls directly on your account while you are logged in on a browser.

You will see a banner popup in order to either answer or reject the call. You will even be given the option to forward calls to one of your agents. This is if you have agents attached to your Ringy account, as indicated in the Account Settings page -> My Team tab.

2. Forward Calls to Mobile App. This is the preferred option over forwarding calls to a phone, because it will actually display the leads phone number that is calling you when forwarding to the mobile app. This helps avoid a lot of confusion caused when forwarding calls to phone.

3. Forward calls to phone. You can edit the phone number calls are being forwarded to by going to the Account Settings page -> General tab, and editing this in the General Info section. We recommend only forwarding calls to a phone if you wish to send all calls to a company landline where multiple agents can pick up the call. This is because due to privacy laws, we cannot display the lead's data when it is forwarding to a particular phone number. Instead, all you will see ringing to the forwarding number is the Ringy number the call is forwarding from. In other words, the Ringy number your lead is calling is what you see displayed to the forwarding number. This is why forwarding to the mobile app is preferred if your forwarding number is your cell phone anyway. Additionally, when you have calls set to forwarding to a phone, and you miss the call, the lead will receive your forwarding number's voicemail box to leave you a voicemail there.

4. Send calls to voicemail. This is only an option if you have recorded a voicemail box within Ringy. You can record this by going to the Account Settings page, and under the Manage Account. The Voicemail Box section will be on the left hand side of the Manage Account tab to record.

5. Reject all inbound calls. The phone will not ring whatsoever for the lead, and will also not allow them to leave you a voicemail.

Voicemail Box:

When you have calls set to forwarding to a phone, and you miss the call, the lead will receive your forwarding number's voicemail box to leave you a voicemail there. Voicemails your leads have left you when forwarding to a phone will only be accessible on the call forwarding phone itself and not within Ringy.

If you have calls accepting in Ringy or forwarding to the mobile app, and you miss the call, the leads will get the voicemail box you have recorded on Ringy. If you have not recorded a voicemail box on Ringy, they will get an automated voicemail saying "You have reached [First name on Account], please leave a message." You can record your Voicemail Box, by navigating the Account Settings page -> Manage Account tab, and scrolling down to the bottom right of the page to the Voicemail Box Recording section. When your leads leave you a voicemail, you can listen to them by clicking the phone icon at the top right of your account wherever you are on Ringy and selecting the Voicemails tab.

Whenever you do miss a call, you will receive an alert in Ringy to allow you to easily call the lead back.
